Living Wholeness

Calendar - 2008 / 2009

Continuous Collective Inquiries to Meet this Time in the World.  We offer these opportunities as space for inquiry and reflection with oneself, with others and the place - to inquire into and co-create the practices that will allow us to meet the future that is now coming forward.  All these offerings have been co-created by people who are practitioners, learners, pioneers and teachers – who offer their knowing to open the space for us to learn together.  Use the scroll bar on the right to view.

PIONEERS OF CHANGE  - 10 YEAR  ANNIVERSARY - A global celebration & gathering of pioneers of all ages 8-12 September  Registration
Bringing together pioneers across networks and generations to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Pioneers of Change, (a global learning network consisting of young practitioners who are committed to create the next level of change we want to see in the world). Our goal in this unique gathering is to bring our pioneering presences and stories together, across generations and networks, in order to surface the next level of "pioneering for change", that can be powerful for nurturing life-affirming futures.
What could pioneering also be across generations and networks?
What is the future that is wanting to emerge, through linking our pioneering efforts and networks across the generational boundaries that often divide us?

Women's Learning Retreat 20-28 September, in partnership with The Berkana Exchange with Teresa Posakony, Debbie Frieze, Maria Scordialos and Sarah Whiteley
Connecting to our Authentic Roots: Self, Community and Nature - We call women together to claim the special gift of women’s leadership at this critical moment in our lives and our world.  We gather to listen and respond to our own distinct calling, to share our collective wisdom and to inspire one another into courageous action.  We invite you to bring your whole self and to engage all your intelligences—body, mind, intuition, emotion and spirit—in the joy of living.  Join us for a week of conversation, cooking, playing, tending land and living in community at Axladitsa-Avatakia, a unique place of learning in South Pelion, Greece. This natural and untamed land holds deep expression of the natural beauty characteristic of the region, with olive groves and steep ravines, dry riverbeds, diverse woodland and expansive views of the Aegean Sea.

Conscious Kitchen  10 – 14 November with Vanessa Reid, Filiz Telek, Maria Skordialou and Ingrid Schultz
An experiment and inquiry into wholesome and sustainable living through the window of our kitchens.  Our practice includes how we grow, purchase, prepare, compost and serve our food with consciousness, passion, and alignment with natural cycles.  Inspired by a vision of "feeding ourselves sustainably", we will together explore how our choices and practices around food and waste have power to heal and nourish our bodies, each other, our communities and the Earth. Using "what is good for our bodies is good for the Earth" metaphor we will dive into a sensuous culinary journey where we will host each other and be hosted by the land.  All welcome who are willing to reclaim the kitchen as a space of community, co-creation and innovation!  We will offer our culinary gifts and insights to the Olive Harvesters who are part of the field of learning at Axladitsa...!  2007 - A Perspective

Olive Harvesting 10–14 November 2008 & 17–21 November
with Sarah Whiteley, Panayiotis Gaitanas and Maria Skordialou  Registration
Come - join us…!  Learn and participate in this traditional art form of harvesting olives: tapping the trees to release the fruit, collecting them on large sheets, sorting out the leaves and gathering the olives in sacks; taking them to the local olive press.  Here the fruits are transformed into ‘liquid gold’ - extra virgin organic olive oil.  Join the parea (good company) and practice the art of harvesting in the olive groves of Axladitsa and groves of local friends.  We will work together for 4/5 hours a day.  Through this physical practice of harvesting, we will also harvest what is emerging within ourselves at this time.  We will gather these ‘fruits’ through conversation, take walks in the local area, enjoy evenings by the fireside, create and enjoy good food - the Conscious Kitchen will be a parallel co-creative field that will be offering their learning and culinary gifts to us.  2007 Photos   A Perspective
